50 to 500 guests
Toronto and the GTA
Nigerian wedding catering in Toronto and the GTA.
Yoruba traditional engagements, Igbo introductions, white wedding receptions, and the full multi-day events that combine all three. We have catered weddings from 60-person backyard receptions to 400-person ballroom owambes. Holly will quote within 24 hours of your enquiry.
Three event types in one wedding
Most Nigerian weddings are not one event. They are three.
Each one wants different food, different timing, and different service. We can cater all three or just the one you need help with.
Traditional engagement (Yoruba) or introduction (Igbo)
The pre-wedding ceremony where the families meet formally. Yoruba engagements lean Yoruba: amala with ewedu and gbegiri, pounded yam with egusi or efo riro, party jollof, fried rice, suya. Igbo introductions skew toward jollof, fried rice, soups (oha, nsala), goat meat, and palm wine. Tell us which side you are working with and we will adjust.
White wedding reception
Sit-down or buffet, depending on the venue and the guest count. We cook a Nigerian buffet that travels well: jollof, fried rice, two proteins, a vegetarian option, plantain, and small chops. For sit-down service we plate hot from the kitchen line.
Cocktail hour and after-party
Small chops trays for the cocktail window: meat pie, puff puff, samosa, suya skewers. After-party trays of jollof hold the late crowd through the speeches and the dance floor.
